I'm Brandon Stephenson, an AAT Level 3 qualified finance professional currently in my final year of studying towards the ACCA qualification.
My experience spans small accountancy practice and larger corporate finance environments, giving me a broad understanding of accounting processes and the importance of accurate, reliable and practical support.
I spent three years working in a small accountancy practice, where I managed client accounting processes from initial onboarding and record collection through bookkeeping, reconciliations, year-end adjustments and preparation of draft financial statements for review and sign-off. I also worked directly with clients to explain their financial results and answer questions once their accounts had been finalised.
Working in a small practice gave me responsibility for the process from beginning to end, helping me develop strong technical foundations and close client relationships.
I subsequently spent a year working for a multinational pigment manufacturer, supporting month-end processes and reconciliations across its UK, German, French and Spanish entities.
For the past three years, I have worked at a pension company, with responsibilities spanning tax processes and financial control. My work has included preparing pension scheme financial statements, supporting external audits, reviewing general ledger activity, completing reconciliations and performing analytical reviews.
I believe good accounting is about more than keeping records and meeting deadlines. It is about understanding the people and businesses behind the numbers.
I take a personal approach, aiming to build strong working relationships and provide a dependable service. Accuracy, transparency and compliance are central to how I work.
I'm deliberately building my business at a manageable pace, focusing on long-term client relationships rather than the largest possible client portfolio. My ambition is to grow alongside my clients while maintaining the time and attention each deserves.
